Public Hearings set on Striped Bass Changes
Saturday, August 23, 2014

Public hearings have been scheduled along the Atlantic Coast to gather public comment on Draft Addendum IV to Amendment 6 to the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission's (ASMFC) Interstate Fishery Management Plan for Atlantic Striped Bass (See ASMFC Press Release).

Maryland's hearing will be held on Thursday, September 25th (see details below). Public hearings for the Potomac River Fisheries Commission in Colonial Beach, VA and Delaware Natural Resources and Environmental Control in Dover, DE are also in close proximity and available for Marylanders to attend. Written comments are treated the same as verbal comments received at a public hearing. So, if you are not able to attend one of these hearings, you are encouraged to submit written comments to ASMFC.
