Thursday, April 2, 2015

The results of the 2014 Striped Bass Volunteer Angler Survey are now available. 86 anglers reported data for 465 striped bass caught during 110 fishing trips in 2014.

You can find the 2014 and prior years results at dnr2.maryland.gov/fisheries/Pages/survey/striped-bass.aspx.

This year, Costa Sunglasses and Bass Pro Shops are providing prizes for random drawings for participants in the Maryland Volunteer Angler survey - striped bass, blue crabs, yellow perch, shad, smallmouth bass, bluefish, flounder, catfish and snakehead are some of the more popular species along with multispecies surveys.

Go to dnr2.maryland.gov/fisheries/Pages/survey/index.aspx for a full list of species and a link to log into the surveys.
