Pickled Shrimp

INGREDIENTS
3 lb peeled cooked shrimp
2 cups thin sliced white onions
5 bay leaves
1 1/4 cup oil
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 cup chopped pimento
2 1/2 tsp. celery seed
2 1/2 TBS. capers & liquid
3/4 cup white vinegar
Dash of hot sauce

DIRECTIONS
In casserole alternate layers of shrimp & onion.
Add bay leaves on each layer.
Combine remaining ingredients and pour over shrimp & onion.
Cover & chill for 24 hours (a minimum of 6 hours).
