Since 1976, Coastal Fisherman has been the trusted voice of Ocean City’s fishing community. Founded by Dale Timmons and originally laid out on his kitchen table, the paper quickly became a must-read for local anglers, charter captains, and anyone who loves life on the water.

For nearly five decades, the paper has captured the rhythm of the season–from inshore bites to offshore battles, tournament wins to dockside moments. After Dale’s 20-year run, the paper was run by Larry Jock, then Larry Budd, and today continues under publisher Dave Messick, founder of Unscene Productions, and his crew. 

Still published weekly from May through September, Coastal Fisherman offers timely fishing reports, photos, stories, and recipes–staying true to its roots while embracing a new era of storytelling.
