22nd Annual Kid’s Classic

Join us for a heartwarming weekend of fun and fishing at the 22nd Annual Kid’s Classic, taking place July 18 & 19, 2027, in Ocean City, Maryland. Hosted by the Ocean City Marlin Club and benefiting the Wish-A-Fish Foundation, this beloved family event brings the community together to create unforgettable memories for children with special needs and their families.

The excitement kicks off with registration on Friday, July 17 from 6:00–8:00 PM at the Ocean City Marlin Club. Young anglers can then head out for one or both fishing days on Saturday and Sunday, July 18 & 19, reeling in everything from flounder to small gamefish. Weigh-ins take place at Sunset Marina on Saturday from 3:00–6:30 PM and on Sunday from 3:00–6:00 PM, where kids can proudly show off their catch and enjoy the enthusiastic support of family, friends, and volunteers.

The weekend wraps up with a celebratory Awards Banquet on Sunday evening, July 19, at the Ocean City Marlin Club, recognizing participants for their efforts and honoring the spirit of the event. Chaired by Dale Withers and Brenden Hanley (OCMC), along with Pam & Mark Hess and Ryan Freese (Wish-A-Fish), the Kid’s Classic continues its mission to provide joy, adventure, and connection for kids who need it most.

Whether you’re fishing, volunteering, or simply cheering from the dock, the Kid’s Classic is a touching reminder of how the Ocean City community comes together to make a difference—one fish at a time.
